The Authentic Motivator

It was just another ordinary Saturday evening or so I thought. My husband and I had tickets to the Houston Symphony’s season opening, an event we eagerly anticipated because, as many of you know, we’re passionate about music and the arts. Surrounded by melodies and the majestic of the concert hall, I was soaking in the moment, feeling an overwhelming sense of happiness and gratitude. I mean, let’s be real for a second, I am your overly dramatic gal, so of course I am going to give you a detailed story.

As the music swirled around us, I found myself lost in the beauty of the evening. When it was time to take photos outside, I instinctively lifted my hand, adjusting my dress, a small, natural gesture that, in hindsight, said everything. My hand placement gave me away. I looked at my husband and saw him smile, and like always he was ready to be my photographer.

In that instant, I realized the moment was too perfect to keep to ourselves. I decided to have a little fun with it. He snapped a few more pictures, simple, genuine shots that would become my “coming out” photo. But honestly, at its heart, it was just the season opening, turned unforgettable.

Now, a little backstory: our journey to this point has been anything but easy. I’ll save that story for another day and time. For now, just know there were moments of hope, patience, waiting, and perseverance. We cherish every step of this process, and because of that, I kept our news private for as long as I could. But baby is popping LOL. The privacy was sacred you know a special moment to hold close between us, a precious secret worth savoring before sharing it with the world.

Our first priority was to tell our family and close friends. We wanted them to hear the news directly from us, to feel the love and excitement firsthand. We gathered around, shared our story, and watched their faces light up with joy. Their reactions were everything we could have hoped for, full of hugs, and overwhelming support. We are truly blessed to have such amazing family and friends.

Honestly, we hadn’t planned on sharing our news on social media. But, well, I mean, I was looking pretty cute that evening and, you know, I love taking me a good picture and posting it. So, here we are: sharing our joyful, beautiful moment with the world.

This experience has been a whirlwind of emotions such as love, hope, anticipation all wrapped up in one perfect evening. We’re beyond grateful for the support, and we’re so excited to step into this new chapter together, ready to embrace the adventures of parenthood that lie ahead.
